R Wines "Bitch" Grenache 2008 - $10.00
If you are not familiar with this wine, there is more than just a fun
name and package here. It is Barossa Grenache! Made by, of course,
Chris Ringland and Lisa Wetherell, the superstar wine making team of
Marquis Philips wines, amongst many other delicious gems. Anyway,
what we have here is low-yielding Barossa Grenache, 40 year-old vines,
un-oaked fruit, and a purely delicious red. It's not over the top, but
will not leave your looking for something more. It responds well to a
variety of cuisine and has dynamite flavors that will interest Pinot
Noir drinkers...hmm.
Also, Trevor Jones "Jonesy" Tawny Port NV $10.00 is in stock. This
little champ earned 93 pts from Wine Advocate and opened our eyes to
just how good Aussie fortifieds are. Another wine that "over-delivers"
for the money.
