DOMAINE SERENE PINOT NOIR EVENSTAD 2007 - $64.00 btl:
Wine & Spirits - 95 points:
"A very elegant and refined Evenstad Reserve,
with grace notes of sandalwood and a lovely cherry core. The fruit is
immaculate, the concentration focused and lengthy, and the flavors are
so artfully blended that the wine is seamless and perfectly balanced.
Although it is drinking like a mature wine, there is every reason to
cellar wines such as this— it can develop like a fine Burgundy, over
decades."
How it's made:
A blend of Pommard (38%), Dijon (44%) and Wadenswil (18%) clones of Pinot Noir sourced from estate-owned vineyards in the Willamette Valley: (Dundee Hills 66%) and (Eola Hills 34%). 2.14 tons/acre. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels of which 67% were new.
DOMAINE SERENE PINOT NOIR YAMHILL CUVEE 2008 - $44.00 btl.:
Wine Advocate - 91 points
"Medium ruby in color with an expressive nose of spicy red fruits and considerable
terroir character. On the palate the fruit leans to the dark side of the spectrum with
intense black cherry and black raspberry flavors as well as excellent grip, balance,
and length. This tasty effort can be enjoyed now but has the stuffing to evolve for
2-3 years."

(11%) clones of Pinot Noir sourced primarily from our estate vineyards
in the Eola Hills and the Dundee Hills. 2.45 tons/acre. Aged 12 months
