Walla Walla Valley fans you are going to want to pay attention. This is a
new arrival to TGD. Dumas winery is located at the historic Dumas
Station near Walla Walla, WA.
Established in 1897, for most of the past century freight trains hauled
the world's best apples from this site. Dumas Station is continuing
this legacy with these world class wines produced from their Minnick
Hills vineyard. Here are some 'stats' and tasting notes. Enjoy!
2008 Cow Catcher Red
Blend: 64% Cabernet - 19% Syrah - 10% Cab Franc - 7 % Merlot

This food-friendly, elegant wine displays herbal notes of fresh
sage and sandalwood, with generous bright cherry and floral overtones. A
plush and velvety texture leads the way to a slowly tapering finish.

2007 Merlot
Blend: 76% Merlot - 19% Cab Franc - 5% Cabernet
234 cases produced
Supple and elegant, this Merlot sings with soft cherry and
blackberry notes. The silky and refined tannins sail effortlessly around
the mouth, waltzing to a flawless finish. Hints of nutmeg and cinnamon
add a bit of spice, and mingle with toasted figs. Walla Walla Merlot does not get any better than this! $32.00 btl.
2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
Blend; 82% Cabernet - 9% Cab Franc - 9% Petite Verdot
This wine singularly is a great 'snapshot' of how exceptional
the 2007 vintage was in the Walla Walla Valley. Subtle herbal notes on
the nose include cinnamon and cardamon. Bright cherries and dark stone
fruits exude a luscious mouth feel while the finish rolls on with
distinguished tannins. Layers and layers of great complexity tease the taste buds! $38.00 btl.
