L'Ecole SemillonJune 30, 2011This wine will be a great addition to your 4th of July weekend festivities. This is an iconic Northwest white, L'Ecole #41 Semillon 2009 to $13.00 for the month of July.
Of course, by now, L'Ecole is a staple in everyone's NW diet. We
love the wines, they are old school Walla Walla and known for quality
exceeding your expectations; much respect!
Anyhow, the Semillon is tasty, delicious, and finally ready for all
of your summer bbqs. It's remarkably brilliant with rich fruit and
balanced acidity. This wine shows fragrant citrus blossom and
honeysuckle aromas, with lemon bar and key-lime floating onto a
lingering finish. "Have a great Fourth of July weekend!"
Wine Enthusiast - 91 points Blended with 17% Sauvignon Blanc, this lovely Sémillon is exceptionally fragrant, satiny and rich, with fleshy, ripe fruits and just a hint of toast. A warm streak of caramel enlivens the finish, which lingers gracefully and fills the palate with delicious flavors of apples and spicy pears."
