Vintage Wine and Fine Everyday Wines Available Here Online
or at The Good Drop Wine Shoppe in Downtown Bend, Oregon
After spending many years working in various areas of the wine industry, I opened The Good Drop Wine Shoppe. It’s dedicated to helping wine lovers like you find vintage wine, hard to find wines, and “trophy” wines to add to your impressive collection or enjoy now with friends or family. My connections and knowledge of red wine, white wine and even sparkling wine makes it easy for you to get your favorites, discover new favorites, or get mainstream wines that you can drink everyday - all shipped right to your front door!
The Good Drop Wine Shoppe is not only a trusted online source for vintage wine and everyday wines, but is now a hip, new, one-of-a-kind wine store in downtown Bend, Oregon on NW Minnesota Avenue next to The Astro Lounge. Whether you come in or visit online, you'll have access to vintage wine and many other wine varietals.
My selection is well-rounded, diverse, and high end. I'm just a heartbeat away from the Willamette, Yakima, Columbia Valleys, and close to the exciting Walla Walla wine region. I’m also only a hop, skip, and one border away from all that California vineyards have to offer.
Call me directly at (541) 410-1470 with a special need for a vintage wine, and special or everyday orders ... or just to talk Shoppe! You can also email me to ask about your
next rare wine.
Cheers!

I've been thinking a lot about Rex Hill Pinot Noir. Rex Hill has moved into the 2008 vintage of the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, which has been a highly anticipated vintage for the local community of Pinot-freaks.
I've been thinking a lot about Rex Hill Pinot Noir. We have moved into the 2008 vintage of the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, which has been a highly anticipated vintage for the local community of Pinot-freaks.
As you may or may not know, Rex Hill was purchased about 2.5 years ago by A to Z Wineworks. The wines are better than they have ever been. They have shrunk the production from some 40,000 cases to down around 10 to 12,000 cases annually with a focus on making top quality wines. They have also shrunk the number of different wines down to a limited number of classic Oregon varietals. The winery has worked through most of the old inventory (wines produced by the previous regime) and has released wines that Bill, Deb, Sam and Cheryl (the A to Z winemaking dream team w/ KILLER resumes) produced. Rex Hill is still a quintessential Oregon Producer.
Pinot Noir WV 2008 is good to go. It's priced at $24.00 btl.
It's got the perfect Pinot Noir color, with the depth and loveliness of the 2008 Oregon vintage. Aromas of red raspberries, violets, and Bing cherries deepen to flavors of Asian plum, wet stones, clean earth and huckleberry on the palate. Rich tannins and bracing acidity balance out the abundance of juicy red fruit flavors, adding to the succulent texture and long finish. Blended from a variety of vineyards, including high-pedigree sites like Shea Vineyard.
In addition, we are still currently on the 2006 vintage of Pinot Noir Reserve; another great vintage for Oregon. It's priced at $38.00 btl.
The Reserve represents the best a vintage has to offer selected from individual small French oak barrels of Pinot Noir from premium Willamette Valley vineyards, such as Jacob-Hart. Earth, spice, mineral, sappy cherry and stone fruit on the nose. It has an expansive attack and voluminous mid-palate expression filled with flavors of black cherry, cola and chocolate.
